My Thoughts:

I put off reading Falke's Captive thinking it was a short story with no depth; I was pleasantly surprised by this book. This is book two in the Puma Night series; you don’t need to read the first book to enjoy this one. Though, I now want to go back and read the first book, Falke's Peak and meet the two older brothers, Alex and Gunnar.

You quickly learn the Falke family is unique, not only are there eight in the family: a set of quadruplets, and a set of triplets but they are Shifters. Then add in the element they must mate in pairs, two brothers for one woman and you have a very HOT book!! WOW!!! There is more to this book then a ménage relationship.

Beth has come to study big cats in hopes that she can keep the some of the species from going extinct. Her first night in town she meets Kelan and Reidar Falke (the youngest of the set of quadruplets). Kelan is the alpha male of the two brothers. Reidar is the softer, romantic one. Having met these two sexy brothers, Beth hopes they can fill her other desires. The next day, Kelan in cougar form burning off the tension he has after fighting with his older brother. Beth, out trying to find a test specimen, comes upon him, she shoots him with a tranquilizer, draws blood, chips and then tags him. After escaping, Kelan needs to let his family know their safe haven is in jeopardy. Now it is up to Kelan and Reidar to convince Beth that what they have together is strong enough for her to keep their secret.

I felt everything wrapped up to quickly at the end and I would have like to see some more romance between Kelan, Reidar and Beth. It was a fun read. If you love shifters and the added suspense element, you won’t be disappointed in Falke’s Peak.

~♥   Why do I love Shifters?  ~♥

For me, I think it's the fantasy element of being both human and animal.  The raw power they have. Shifters are sexy and brutally handsome.
