In the Spotlight ~ "Reading Romances"

This week I am excited to have Nat from Reading Romances here "In the Spotlight".  It was exactly a year ago that I met Nat, she was hosting a forum for book lovers that I joined. If you keep up with my blog, you would remember that Nat is the one who introduced me to historical romance when she decided to have a reading challenge on her forum. My first historical romance book was Julia Quinn's ~ The Duke and I.

Nat has really exploded in the blogging world, some of you already know her from her wonderful blog hops she hosts. And from time to time I pop over and provide a guest review on her site.

Well on with the interview, welcome Nat!!

When and how did you decide to become a book blogger?
It started when I was part of a book discussion forum and through them I found out how many cool blogs there are out there. I was fascinated and wanted to give it a go. Turns out I feel in love with blogging and now my blog is nine months old (my baby!).

What’s the hardest part of being a book blogger?
I think that the hardest part is when blogging when you don't feel like it. When you're tired and you have to stay up late finishing a review cause have to post it in the morning! It's a job, and something I LOVE doing, but it's a lot of work.

How many followers do you have? How did your blog get so popular? How long did it take to rise to that level?
I currently have around 1,300 twitter followers. I don't believe my blog is THAT popular (yet), but I work really hard to make it the best it can be and having an event going on every month!

I love your blog's name, Reading Romances, how and why did you come up with that name?
Thanks, Kat! First, I wanted it to be something simple and that people would easily remember. I thought "What will I blog about? Reading Romances!", then I googled and didn't find anything seriously close to it, so there it was!

What is your preferred reading device, a Kindle or a Nook (or another electronic book reader), or do you prefer reading a traditional book?
There's nothing better than a traditional book! It's an unique experience I'll never get tired of. What can I say? I'm a romantic at heart!

Who are your three favorite authors?
The first 3 that come to mind are: Kresley Cole (paranormal/UF), Julia Quinn (historical) and Em Petrova (erotic)! I'm pretty eclectic, but needless to say they're all romance writers.

Any words of wisdom to new bloggers?
Keep the faith (as Bon Jovi would say). Nothing in life that's worth it comes easily, so try to be patient, nice and respectful.

Which author would you most like to meet (dead or alive)? Tell us more..
I never had this dream of wanting to meet an specific author, but I think I'd love to meet Kresley Cole! She's so fun, clever and adorable! It would be incredible to chat with her =)

How big is your TBR pile? How many books do you read/review in a month?
My TBR pile is too big to count. Most are ebooks but I also have some paperbacks dying to be read! I don't review all the books I read, but I can tell I usually review between 5 to 12 books a month (these numbers may be wrong! LOL).

If someone wrote a biography about you, what do you think the title should be?
Oh, that's so hard. Let me think..."How google can change someone's life!", LOL.

On  a Personal Note:
A lot of people don't know that I have a degree in art and that I started reading romances about an year and a half ago! I also worship google and love making new friends online   ; )

Enjoyed the interview! Kresley is fun, clever and adorable, LOL!! And count me in as another nut about Google! How did we survive the dark ages without it?

I love your biography title!! It's awesome to know that so much can be done in such little time (your 9 months) and look forward to what I can accomplish as well. Thanks for the interview :)
