In the Spotlight ~ "Musings of a Bookworm"

This is the first installment of my new feature,
"In the Spotlight." I will be interviewing our very own book bloggers, learning a bit about them.

Who would have known that one of our fellow bloggers use to read tarot cards? Well it is none other than Kerry from
"Musings of a Bookworm". I asked her to join me here today and I am excited to ask her a few questions and learn more about her and her love of books!!

Q.When and how did you decide to become a book blogger?
A. I started in august of last year, I had been reviewing on goodreads.com for a while and was moderator of a group that had lots of blogger in it and it was one of the people there who suggested it. I tried it and loved it.

Q. What’s the hardest part of being a book blogger?
A. Coming up with a post title that will entice people to read the full article. I am sure I get it wrong more then I get it right.

Q. How many followers do you have? How did your blog get so popular? How long did it take to rise to that level?
A. I have 137 on GFC 128 on twitter and 208 on Facebook and 37 on networked blogs. Some of those are cross overs so they follow in 2 or more ways. I am a member of entrecard.com and they have got me some follower I also am a member of bookblogs and blog catalogue and of course goodreads. I think starting doing a give-away got me more attention and I treated myself to a little paid advertising on entrecard over Christmas and that as really helped. I also am a blog tour member for a publishing house and they do a Facebook linking chain. It has taken 6 months to get this far and I have to say I have loved every minute of it.

Q. I love your blog's name, "Musings of a Bookworm", how and why did you come up with that name?
A. I have been described as a bookworm for years so when I stopped working as a tarot card reader I changed my twitter handle from psychickerry to bookworm, it made sense to keep it for the blog. At first it was going to be Kerry's musings but I wanted something that told people what they were getting so Musings of a Bookworm was born.

Q.Which author would you most like to meet (dead or alive)? Tell us more..
A. Now that is a hard question because there are a few I would like to meet, right now it would be Lynn Hagen so I could kick her butt, because I am addicted to her novella's and am having to buy them all because I have to know what happens next. No seriously, if I could meet any author it would be T J Klune because his book, "Bear, Otter and the Kid", really effected me and I would like to meet the man behind such a dramatic and heartfelt book. (Kerry is currently giving away 2 e-copies of this fabulous book on her site).

Q. How big is your TBR pile? How many books do you read/review in a month?
A. Wow now that I look at it I have over 25 ARC's, over 20 books of my own i have yet to read and about 32 in my wish list. The only one's I seem to get to are the ARC's and the one I get from the library, lol. I review a book as soon as I have finished it, or if its late at night, which it usually is, the following morning and I read on average 10 to 15 books a month or more if they are under 120 pages.

Q. Finally, If someone wrote a biography about you, what do you think the title should be?
A. I did start writing my biography a few years ago and its called 'My Journey Through the World'. I have an excerpt of it on my blog on the page called Kerry's Story but I guess if someone else where writing it, it would be called the 'Story of a Mad Woman Who Reads Too Much'!!

On a Personal Note:
