Breaking rules and breaking hearts

Free-spirited Chloe lives life on the edge. Unlike her soon-to-be married sisters, she isn't ready to settle into a quiet life running their family's newly renovated inn. But soon her love of trouble--and trouble with love-draws the attention of the very stern, very sexy sheriff who'd like nothing better than to tame her wild ways.

Suddenly Chloe can't take a misstep without the sheriff hot on her heels. His rugged swagger and his enigmatic smile are enough to make a girl beg to be handcuffed. For the first time, instead of avoiding the law, Chloe dreams of surrender. Can this rebel find a way to keep the peace with the straitlaced sheriff? Or will Chloe's colorful past keep her from a love that lasts . . . and the safe haven she truly wants in a town called Lucky Harbor?

My Thoughts:

I didn’t think anyone could be sexier than Ford, well I stand corrected. I fell Head over Heels in love with Sawyer. Never underestimate the quiet ones; Sawyer’s reminded me of candy, all strong on the outside and gooey on the inside. We knew so little about him in the first two books, he seemed reserved, often aloof, extremely guarded about his private life. All it took was the Wild Child to chip away at his seemingly impenetrable exterior! Before I go any further, there is one hell of a sexy shower scene, which I am still trying to unfog my glasses!!!

The focal point again is the B & B, were Maddie, Tara and Chloe, sisters but with three different fathers, continue their combined effort of running. Chloe struggles for equal acceptance from her sisters, in the past she has gotten herself in quite a few predicaments, hence the nickname “wild child”. She is determined to prove, to them and herself, she has matured and no longer a vagabond; she is wanting to put down roots. I felt sad for her when she was trying to get her sisters to listen to her idea about adding a day spa to the B & B:

“You know all the faith you guys have in me is staggering".

“People tend to assign you the role of the person you are at your worst”.

The softer Sawyer: When he admitted, he did research on asthma so he didn’t place Chloe in any danger.

The sexy Sawyer: All that dirty talk. “Slow.” “Easy”.

The funny/sarcastic Sawyer: (confronting the woman driver)

“See that barricade you ignored and drove around?” he asked her. “You want to drive back the way you came. Go by each of the road closed signs that you passed- I believe there were three – and follow the detour directions".
OMG that was hilarious!!!!

I am a die heart Jill Shalvis fan, I love her writing style, she can make you feel that you are part of the town she writes about, she writes awesome romance scenes and she always adds humor to her books. The Magic 8 Ball app, is perfect. I actually downloaded the app after reading about it.

We got a glimpse at possible at new character, very mysterious "Cute Guy”, I am hoping he will have his own book. I just read on Jill's site that she will be bringing us three more Lucky Harbors books, all three will come out in the summer of 2012; June, July and August.

This is a stand alone book, but why miss out, I recommend you go back and read them all. This is a must read and a must have, go out and buy this book!!!

I received this ARC in exchange for an honest review.
